Baked: Monster Cake

In the spirit of Halloween, here’s a monster cake I made to resemble the “Cut The Rope” game character. I layered the interior with chocolate cake and a variety of green-colored vanilla cake. The exterior is vanilla buttercream, with fondant and licorice details. All of my cakes can be seen via my portfolio.

i’m going to attempt to make this cake this evening / tomorrow for my daughter’s 6th OM NOM birthday party. This is the best example i have found online. It is gorgeous! Can you please share how you made this cake? I’m thinking 6 inch pyrex bowl for the top, two 6 inch rounds for the bottom. Please share.
