Keepin’ Up With The Joneses

Hope everyone had a great weekend!  I just got back from a fantastic 4-day trip to Portland, where my entire Jones side of the family had gathered for a reunion. It was such a great weekend!  It made me remember how lucky I am to have such an amazing family and the fact that everyone could put their busy schedules on hold for a few days to celebrate what matters most was really something special.

We all camped out on my aunt and uncle’s beautiful 20 acre property, which was complete with a swimming pool, slip n’ slides, volleyball court, and about 60 Joneses.  And man, do these Joneses like to have fun!  They always have – just look at these crazies back in the 80’s on Family Feud (my mom and dad on the right).

Prior to unwinding in Portland, it was a very busy two weeks.  Some of my projects included: a very cool E.T. birthday cake, a letterpress wedding invite suite (for a party of 150!), some special bridesmaid boxes for a very special bride, a styled shoot, and, as I mentioned on Thursday, I also kicked off the DIY posts I’ve partnered with Fossil for.  I’ll have photos of a few of those projects to you show you in the next couple of weeks.  Any by the way, although I got a bit tied up last week, I’ll also have the DIY for the camping cupcakes this week!
