There’s so much inspiration to be found in dessert styling, regardless of the medium.  Lately I’ve been taking some cues from the classic Wayne Thiebaud dessert paintings, as well as some additional modern pieces.  For me, these perfectly painted desserts evoke nostalgia and simply just make me smile.  Here’s a few of my favorites.

The first two paintings are from Joël Penkman – you can see more of her illustrations and paintings HERE. The three gelatin mold paintings are from Netherlands based artist Arnout van Albada.  And the last three cake paintings are from the classic and incredibly inspiring legend, Wayne Thiebaud.
