Rainbow Poms Revisited
With this week’s chilly and grey New York weather I was reminded of a colorful weekend project I took on around this time last year. My boyfriend and I had been staying at a friend’s cabin in the Catskills, which hosts an old dilapidated barn on the property, and on this weekend in particular it looked a bit bland amidst the snow. I had the random urge to add a pop of color to the barn – so that’s what I did. To combat the grey and gloom, I added an array of rainbow tissue paper poms to the barn and also tied some smaller poms to the bare branches of a few trees. The only downside to my little weekend project was installing the poms in very windy, below freezing temperatures (see below photo of Chad trying to hold on to the poms in the wind!). But once it was all set up, it sure brightened things up!
Happy Friday everyone! Here’s to a slightly warmer weekend…hopefully.
