If you are looking for a super simple party treat for Halloween, you’re in luck!  These ghosts are a little bit spooky and a whole lot of cute.  Spooky cute!  Don’t think I’ve used that term before, but I’m into it – so going with it!  With just one batch of cupcakes, some frosting and a handful of chocolate chips, you can make these bite-sized treats in no time.  Follow along below to get the step-by-step instructions.

Materials Needed:

  • 1 batch of mini cupcakes
  • mini chocolate chips
  • buttercream frosting
  • pastry bag with medium round tip (I used Ateco tip #12)

Directions:

First, whip up a batch of your favorite mini cupcakes.  I went with chocolate for mine, but the cupcake flavor is all up to you!

Once your cupcakes have cooled, add some frosting to the center of your cupcake (to prevent the frosting from caving in).  Then starting at the cupcake’s edge, work in a rounded motion and swirl buttercream onto your cupcake.  Set in the fridge for 10 minutes to set.  Add two mini chocolate chips for the eyes and voilà – a ghost.  Now how easy was that?!
