Another episode of my Craft On video series has launched on ulive! With Spring in swing, this episode will show you how to turn typical deviled eggs into adorable hatching chick deviled eggs. Directions below, but of course, click play on the video below (last photo) first to get the full download and to see what you’ll need to make them.
- 1 dozen eggs, hard-boiled
- Deviled egg mix [½ cup mayonnaise, 1 tsp pickle juice, pinch of dry mustard, salt + pepper]
- Serrated knife
- Piping bag
- Mini carrots + black olives
Directions:Step #1: Take your hard-boiled eggs and slice them in half using a serrated knife.
Step #2: Scoop the egg yolks out and add them to a bowl.
Step #3: Make your deviled egg mixture – either as you please or follow along with my recipe included in the video.
Step #4: Using a spoon, add the mixture into a piping bag.
Step #5: Pipe the mixture into the bottom of each hard-boiled egg, overflowing about 1 inch above the top of the egg. Once filled, add the top piece of the hard-boiled egg back on.
Step #6: Chop small pieces of olives and carrots. Add a carrot piece for the beak and two olive pieces for the eyes. Use a toothpick to position each mini veggie into place.
