Rainbow Cakes
Not sure what the exact association is between rainbows and St. Patrick’s Day, but with that silly holiday around the corner, I thought it might be a good time to show off a rainbow cake I recently made. Since I had to travel to Florida with the cake, I piped the hundreds of buttercream starbusts prior to the trip and then assembled the cake upon arrival in the Sunshine State. The whole traveling on an airplane with a cake situation was an experience – a bit stressful to say the least – but it all worked out and the cake arrived safely to the party!
Apologies for the lo-res iPhone photo. I am waiting on some better images from the photographer, which I’ll post once I receive.
Speaking of St. Patrick’s Day, you can find some ridiculous leprachaun cupcakes HERE. Also, in case you haven’t seen my rainbow cake tutorial, it is definitely something to check out!! I fill you in on the best secret for making an awesome rainbow cake…which is very rarely mentioned in other rainbow cake tutorials online. Find out what that little secret is HERE.
