Leave it to Brooklyn to open a shuffleboard bar. While the idea of it may sound like a sketch off next season’s “Portlandia” – the Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club in Gowanus is absolutely genius and has quickly become one of my favorite spots.  This place is such a gem – the details, design, drinks, the food (served from a variety of food trucks) – it’s all perfect.  And then there’s the bathroom…never have I ever wanted to spend time in a bar bathroom until I walked into this magical one. From the gorgeous embossed flamingo wallpaper to the little touches (e.g. that palm tree door handle!), it couldn’t be better. And the whole playing shuffleboard part is so dang fun! I took my boyfriend on a surprise date here last Monday and we loved it so much we went back on Tuesday with a couple of friends in tow. Thought I’d post some photos, because wallpaper as good as this deserves to be shared.

And while I failed to get a good photo of the venue, I found this pretty one online via Eater.  Seriously guys, how amazing is this place?! The black and white striped booths are just another example of the perfect décor.
