Farewell Fall Foliage

Last week my boyfriend and I, along with our two dogs, headed out on a last-minute roadtrip to Vermont.  Although Vermont’s peak foliage season had passed, there were still sections filled with vibrant hues and it was such a sight to see…especially in the southern parts of the state.  Coming from San Diego, the Fall season has to be one of my favorite characteristics of the East Coast, as it is something I was not able to witness (or even fathom) growing up.  The farm we stayed at was amazing – we had an adorable lofted apartment to ourselves and spent a lot of our time with the farm’s animals, including goats, a dog (the “farm manager”), hens, and horses.  Continue on to see some photos from our trip.Bellows Falls VermontFarm DogLoftVermont Farm HorsesChicken CoopRock Walls Hogback Mountain Brattleboro

On our last day we drove up the eastern side, crossed over the state heading west, and then drove down Route 7 – which was absolutely beautiful…one of the most amazing drives I’ve ever taken.  I find that there is something so rejuvenating about this time of year – it’s a time for me to let go of things I don’t need and to start fresh.  I plan on spending a lot of time outdoors during these last few foliage-filled weeks.
