Hi! Not to sound lame or anything, but I sure have missed this blog.  Unfortunately everything (literally, everything) was on hold for the majority of the past 2 weeks as I had a lot of work due for 3 weddings over the past 9 days.  This included a huge 1200 heart (cut by hand) backdrop, all of the paper (programs, menus, table numbers, welcome notes, etc.) for a Newport wedding on Friday, a bunch of decor pieces, and a huge cake for a wedding in Maryland on Saturday.  If that wasn’t enough to deal with, the Maryland wedding was something I had been working on for about 8 months – I had strategically planned out the entire decor setup and built custom pieces that went with the beach venue.  Well, the venue had to cancel 24 hours prior due to inclement weather and I had 12 hours to plan and make some additional decor details, as well as figure out where everything was going to go in the new venue.  Lucky for me, I had flown in the most creative person I know – my mom – to help me with it all.  I absolutely couldn’t have done it without her.  It was quite an experience, but it all worked out in the end!  I’ll have a lot of wedding things to show you this week.  And then next week I plan on getting back into the festive fall mode.  I am just so darn happy to be back!
