Baked: “Embroidered” Skull Cake
In celebration of Cinco de Mayo, I made an “embroidered” cake using the classic Mexican skull as my pattern of choice for the design. I achieved the embroidery look by using jimmy sprinkles for the “thread” and buttercream icing for the roses at the top. Since this cake project was just for fun, I free-handed the design, so it is not perfect…but sure does have a lot of personality. Happy Cinco de Mayo!
